Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy perfroming live at the Shepherds Bush Empire, London

Last week I went down to the Shepherds Bush Empire to take pictures of Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy’s (Will Oldham) show for The Observer. One of my photographs was published in this Sunday’s Observer ‘The New Review’ magazine (cutting below). It was a hard gig to photograph with lots of low red nighting (which I did my best to correct after the gig). You can see a slideshow from the night by clicking on the image above or make the cutting larger by clicking it.

From 1993 to 1997 Will Oldham performed and recorded under variations of the Palace name, including the Palace Brothers, Palace Songs, and Palace Music. After releasing material under his own name, he adopted the “Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy” moniker for the majority of his output since 1998. His lasts album ‘The Wonder Show of the World’ (by Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and the Cairo Gang) was released earlier this year on Domino records (in the UK).

Below is an image of Frank Turner which I took that was featured in iTunes festival programme which was given away at the iTunes Festival shows at the Roundhouse, Camden last month.
